Introduction of regularization visas (visas upon arrival)

for tourists traveling to the south of Algeria

The Algerian authorities have decided, within the framework of the promotion and facilitation of Saharan tourism, to set up, on an exceptional and temporary basis, and in substitution for consular visas, regularization visas (visa upon arrival), for foreign tourists who choose the Great South of Algeria as a tourist destination.

This new measure, which includes all the tourist wilayas of the Great South, implies the following:

• agreeing, with an accredited Algerian travel agency, to organize the trip to the Algerian south ;

• tourist applicants are required to provide the travel agency with information on their identity, their travel document and the chosen tourist itinerary;

• an authorization with a QR code is transmitted by the Algerian travel agency to the tourist applicants;

• this authorization allows tourist applicants to embark for the Algerian south from the origin airports, either by direct flight or by transiting through international airports in the north of the country, in accordance with the tourist program organized by the Algerian travel agency for its foreign customers.
